The event runs from 6 - 9pm between Mayfield Road and Euclid Heights Boulevard in Cleveland Heights. Over 50 vendors will feature local works of art, crafts, homegrown produce, and delicious food and drink. The Cleveland Museum of Art will showcase family art projects along with its fantastic oversize puppets. Musical acts Blue Lunch and Gaetano Letizia & the Underworld Band will perform, along with numerous street performers and magicians. Michael I. Samuelak, author of A is for Africa, will be appearing at Mac's Backs.

Pittsburgh Store Sidewalk Sale

This month we feature the paintings of Bonie Bolen, hand painted pottery by Dimitris Papaleonardos, as well as silver and metalwork by Concha Castaneda. Also there will be music by Elizabeth Bolen at 8pm and drumming by the Columbus Community Drummers at 9pm.

Don't forget that the Doodah Parade also takes place this Saturday just around the corner from the store. Happy Independence Day!

Futon Mattress Protectors

Columbus Gallery Hop

Stop by the Columbus store on Saturday, June 6 for Gallery Hop. Called "The best arts event in the state" by Ohio Magazine, festivities officially start at 4pm and run until 10pm. Over 40 galleries and shops will feature works by new and established artists.

Norka will open at 11 am, but come by later as Lydia Brownfield performs from 6 to 11pm. Also check out paintings by sisters Nicole and Shannon Frecken, whose work will be on display for the month of June.

New Organic Bed Mattresses

We are excited to offer organic bed mattresses by Savvy Rest. New Locations for Cincinnati and Pittsburgh

Welcome to the Norka Futon blog. Here we hope to keep you informed of new products, news and events at our stores.

Spring has been a busy time in Cincinnati as we moved two stores (Ludlow Ave. and Edwards Rd.) into an entirely new location at 3083 Madison Road in Oakley. Our new store offers a much more accessible showroom, plenty of natural light, and easier loading and unloading. It is conveniently located across from the Fresh Market and CVS Pharmacy. Bring the kids for fantastic ice cream at Aglamesis', great toys at King Arthur's Court, clothing at The Spotted Goose, and wonderful children's books (and great coffee!) at Blue Manatee just up the street. There is plenty of parking on Madison Road, as well as just around the corner by the library.

Our Pittsburgh store has also moved, though in a much less dramatic fashion, to 5854 Forbes Avenue, only two spaces down from our previous location. We are proud to be able to maintain our commitment to the Squirrel Hill neighborhood, while continuing to serve the greater Pittsburgh area. Stop in and visit our newly-expanded showroom.

Website Updates

Some of you have also noticed that we are now offering specials listed only on the Norka Futon website. Just click on the Specials and Coupons link accessible from the homepage. This lists all of the monthly sale items in a one-page, printable coupon format. We do ask that you bring the coupons with you to the store. We've had a great response to these specials and plan to change them monthly, so check back often to see what is currently on sale.
